Silk Stevens worked with First Nations government providing guidance through the conversion of the existing Big Falls Fish Hatchery to a 98% RAS capable of producing upwards of 140,000kg of salmonid biomass or 1,400,000 100-g fish. Silk Stevens Limited completed the detailed design and provided construction services during the construction of Phase 1; which was completed in summer of 2019. We are currently working on the design for Phase 2. The overall project was phased in a way to meet the client’s funding process. Phase 1 has been constructed successfully and Phase 2 is underway.
