The Indian Head Hatchery is more commonly known as the Stephenville Hatchery and is our most important project. It was the largest RAS (recirculating aquaculture system) in North America at the time of its construction. The project required the coordination of a multi-disciplinary team and specialized systems to meet the client’s specific needs. The project began with the completion and filing of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and securing all required permissions, approvals and permits as the project was developed on a vacant brown-field site. Silk Stevens managed all aspects of this major project through design and construction including the implementation of innovative new equipment.
